SHANIA'S NEW STUDIO ALBUM IS COMING IN 2002.. Updates .
Shania's new album is tentatively due November 12th or 19th (North America), and November 18 (International). The working title for the album is "Up"... Shania's first radio single is targeted for September 23 (North America). No word yet on other formats, streaming, or international release, but a multi-format first single simplifies promo & marketing, and makes sense for this album.
Shania's label has still not "publically" confirmed the 9/23 radio date, but numerous radio stations and several entertainment outlets are now reporting it. Many radio stations use the same news feeds and simply regurgitate stories... Only a few major-market stations actually "checked," but they are reputable. Someone may have leaked this (possibly to gauge interest), but it's odd it took ten days for country news to pick up on it, and most mainstream media still have not.(From ShaniaForums.com)

According to a statement made by the radio station US 99 in Chicago on their official website, Shania's new album should be released in November with a single on rotation at radios starting September 23. For the moment there is NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION that this is true. At the least, the Sep. 23 date is only for the single to be aired on radios not to be available in stores. We're still waiting for official confirmation from Shania's label.
